Halifax Spring Chess Festival Post-Event Report

The Halifax Spring Chess Festival ran April 11-13, 2025 at Saint Mary’s University. It featured three tournaments:

  • Open Championship with a Crown section that was both CFC- and FIDE-rated, also an U1700
  • Rapid Championship split in to two sections, including a Junior Section that was both CFC-Quick- and CMA-rated
  • Blitz Championship in a double-round, one all-open section.
