NOTE: THIS EVENT IS CANCELED AS THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL 30TH AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE AGAINST COVID-19. THE EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.

March 29, 2020: Seniors session will be led by Maritime Chess Festival 2019-2020 senior champion Laurie Parker. Seminar will focus on teaching seniors how to play chess and how to improve their skill level. Emphasis will be on enjoying the great game of chess and learning something new. Mr. Parker will also discuss chess and its relationship to Alzheimer’s disease.

Takes place at the Halifax Central Library, 5440 Spring Garden Road, 3rd floor RBC room. All are welcome!
