In partnership with the Halifax Central Library, the Nova Scotia Chess Association will be teaching chess at the library on Sundays, once a month, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. starting again in September 2019.
The 2019 fall dates are as follows:
- September 22
- October 6 (This session, Oct 6, will be part of Seniors Week. All are welcome. Seniors are invited to come and learn how to play chess and learn more about the game.)
- November 24
- December 15
The 2020 winter/spring dates are as follows:
- January 19
- February 16
- March 29
- April 26
The Chess in the Library program is free of cost and is open to everyone. It is led by volunteers who are experienced chess players.
