Chess at the Library – Lesson: middlegame plans and opening essentials with Tallal Younis

February 2, 2020: This session will be led by Tallal Younis, a local chess expert and reigning champion of the annual Bluenose Open tournament. Tal will give his unique perspective on middlegame plans and opening essentials. Players will learn how to make plans and navigate through the middlegame and understand the principles of chess openings as key to middlegame plans. Tal’s session is recommended for players ranging from an elo rating of 1000-1600 (novice to intermediate level). All are welcome!
